Bein' Kids is a piece in three movements written for one of my bassoon students who needed a chamber work for bass clarinet and bassoon.
The first movement depicts a game of Hopscotch; the second, Daydreaming; and the third, A Day at School - home room with roll call, the halls at class change, literature and history class, language classes, and graduation - all with interruptions from the "bell".
